Schöb AG (Gams)

Schöb AG is a traditional Swiss family business and leading supplier of wood system buildings. The company was founded in 1949 by Werner Schöb as a small furniture joinery. Walter Schöb took over the business from his father and expanded it. Schöb AG continuously invests in a new production and storage hall, which today covers almost 10,000 m2.

The company produces on the most modern production line in Switzerland and distributes its projects throughout Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. While the company employed 20 people in 2004, today it already employs over 75. In addition to the production of single-family houses, Schöb AG is now a leader in the construction of multi-family houses. With over 100 multi-family houses and commercial buildings, the company can draw on invaluable experience and internally acquired know-how.

Every multi-family house built is subjected to air and sound measurements by external experts before occupancy. All realized projects achieved the "increased requirements according to SIA" without any problems. Thanks to two production lines, the company is efficient and can easily produce different objects at the same time. The in-house joinery creates stairs, doors, kitchens and furniture.
In addition to wood system construction and carpentry, Schöb AG also operates an in-house architecture and construction management department. This department with 12 employees realizes all house dreams from the normal single-family house to entire superstructures.

Since 2007 Schöb AG is represented in Lucerne and in Ticino. The challenge of the future is the production of energy efficient buildings and the use of sustainable building materials. The quality of living is important. Pilot projects are realized in cooperation with technical colleges. Air measurements, sound measurements but also the analysis of the well-being of the inhabitants help the company Schöb to develop further. After all, a rolling stone gathers no moss - and that definitely does not fit in with the philosophy and vision of the company, which is now run by the 3rd generation of the family.
