Company History

In 1962 our father Josef Stalder became self-employed and thus founded the carpenter's workshop as a one-man business without an actual fixed workshop.

Thanks to his great reputation, he was able to quickly build up a large clientele. His clients included private individuals, architects and, above all, the many farms at that time. In many cases, the building owner helped and thus relatively large conversions and new buildings could be carried out at low cost.

10 years later in 1972, he rented an old carpenter's workshop in the village center of Weggis and thus owned a few stationary machines.

Already at that time he took us boys successively to the construction and we immediately got joy and a great passion for the material wood.

In 1982 Philipp (the younger of the two sons) started his 3-year apprenticeship as a carpenter in the parental business and in 1983 we realized our own home on Rigistrasse with as much own work as possible.

In 1986 Wolfgang also joined the business (=trained carpenter) and as a team of 3 we were able to execute bigger and more interesting orders.

In 1990 Philipp and Wolfgang took over the business and most importantly, a large customer base. Soon the wish for a modern joinery hall was expressed and for many years they looked for a suitable piece of industrial land.

In 2003 the dream came true and we were able to buy a plot of land on the Chruelen farm. Immediately we started planning and already in spring 2004 we moved into the specially built workshop.

Thanks to optimal infrastructure and logistics, we were able to implement our strategy of continuing the business as a team of 2, including temporary workers!
