1921

The years are crazy and carpenter Denis PAPAUX sets up a joinery business in his village of Treyvaux (FR). Carpentry and renovation are on the menu. Nine years later, business was booming and he moved into the buildings of the first cantonal dairy school, then located in Treyvaux. In 1948, the need for rationalization led to the construction of the factory building which, after several extensions, still houses one of the largest joineries in French-speaking Switzerland. Papaux products have long been known outside the region, from Neuchâtel to the Lake Geneva area. The first branch in Vaud dates back to 1938, the one in Geneva to 1997 and the one in Valais to 2006.

1931

As for FAVOROL, its founder was none other than Denis Papaux, who had more than one trick up his sleeve. The man liked to innovate, and taking advantage of his knowledge of wood, he began manufacturing roller shutters. His son, André Papaux, succeeded him, and today Jean-Michel Papaux has taken over the reins of both family businesses.

2003

Favorol SA and Papaux SA combine their skills to form GROUPE FAVOROL PAPAUX, the only company in French-speaking Switzerland to manufacture and install windows and blinds of all kinds. A new motivation and a formidable challenge for all employees.

2012

The two legal entities FAVOROL SA and PAPAUX SA merge and operate under the name FAVOROL PAPAUX SA. This merger will enable us to offer efficient administrative management, further strengthen synergies and offer our customers and partners top-quality services in both the solar protection and window sectors.
