CS Legnami SA (Taverne)

History. It was 1949 when Silvio Cattaneo founded his carpentry business in Lugano. The city had just over 20,000 inhabitants, many neighborhoods did not exist, many hamlets were not aggregated, and HC Lugano still played in the Loreto facility.

In those days, the carpenter was already a primary figure in the economy, especially in Ticino where wood is a primary material.

In 1984 Cesarino (Lino) Somazzi became the new company administrator, and with him important changes began.

In 1988 the production plant was moved to Taverne, where it is currently located, and in 1992 Silvio Cattaneo SA became, permanently, CS Legnami SA.

It was precisely at that time that Elio Di Mauro joined the joinery, bringing, over the years, important updates to the business proposal and working methodology.
