Louis Genève S.A. is a manufacturer whose core business is woodworking.

History

Louis Genève S.A. was founded :

• July 1, 1976 by Mr. Louis Genève, master carpenter, in Vernier with 5 employees and a unique carpentry department.

• In 1985 M. Louis Genève bought the headquarters of the Pansier company, in order to establish his business in Bernex.

• In the 1980s, the company built large-scale timber structures and employed 65 people.

• In 1997, the company hired a young joinery technician, Mr. Nunez, and decided to create a joinery department to meet market demand.

• In 2000, the joinery department expanded and became as important as the carpentry department. The company now employs 32 people in both departments.

• In 2004, Louis Genève S.A. moved from Bernex to its current site in the Chemin de la Verseuse industrial zone in Aïre - Le Lignon, and changed its corporate name from a sole proprietorship to Sociéte Anonyme.

• In 2012, the company changes ownership. Mr. Genève hands over the business to his colleague, the carpentry manager Mr. Nunez Fernando, who becomes the new manager. Mr. Genève remains in the company as Chairman of the Board.

• In 2015 the company began with an internal renovation of its technical premises and acquired new machinery for its carpentry and joinery workshops.

• In 2016 the company continues its transformation with the modernization of its administrative premises, in order to improve the quality of its services. After several months of waiting and work, the entire Louis Genève SA team is finally ready to move into brand-new premises!

• This year, we are delighted to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our company, which, thanks to everyone's joint efforts, has been able to evolve and transform itself to achieve success and renown.

Located in the heart of the Chemin de la Verseuse business park in Le Lignon, Louis Genève S.A. has a joinery department and a carpentry department. The company undertakes all types of interior and exterior joinery, carpentry, roofing, insulation and staircases. It carries out paid carpentry and framing studies, including statistical calculations for framing.
