PVC is available in as many colors, patterns and designs as carpeting. However, the cleaning of PVC flooring is much easier. In addition to standard PVC flooring, we carry special plastic flooring for extremely high-traffic areas such as stores, warehouses and offices. Since the standard PVC floor coverings vary between 2mm and 3.5mm thick, a uniformly even subfloor should be available or produced.

Wood floors / parquet

The high insulation effect is due to the countless pores in the wood. Depending on the type of wood, the abrasion resistance varies greatly. Untreated and waxed wood has a low electrical conductivity.

A valuable property is the great elasticity of the wood. which reduces fatigue symptoms of the foot muscles.

However, the natural product wood also has disadvantages. The biggest is the so-called working of the wood.ie it swells and shrinks with changes in humidity eg beech wood.

In the case of a floating wooden floor, the impact sound insulation required by DIN 4109 can be achieved with a suitable underlay (insulating screed).

• Solid wood planks 20 to 30 mm thick wooden boards which are planed after drying and provided with tongue and groove.
• Solid wood planks are usually only available in the softwoods pine, spruce and larch.
• The planks are either nailed or screwed to bearing timbers or laid as a floating floor.

Chipboard is made of resin-bonded chips that are a by-product of woodworking and processing. Surfaces of boards that can be walked on should be sealed. Boards manufactured with urea-formaldehyde or phenolic/melamine resin may release formaldehyde into the environment.

Laminate

• Laminate is an extremely durable floor covering.
• It impresses with its extremely hard surface that is as resistant to impact as it is to acid.
• Today, laminates are usually laid using the click system. This makes it possible to replace defective planks.
• Laminate is suitable for the entire living area with normal and heavy use.
