The family business P. Schmied since 1936, transformed into ébénisterie-schmied Sàrl in 2015.

Mr. Christian Raach, who has been with the company since 2003 (including 3 years as a foreman), takes over the management of this new company, which is a continuation of what has been done over the past 78 years.

L'ébénisterie-schmied Sàrl designs custom cabinetry and joinery pieces. In order to satisfy a wide range of customers (individuals, craftsmen and companies), we customize each of our creations. We also accept larger commissions, and are happy to work for local authorities and the state.
Our many years of experience enable us to meet your requirements as closely as possible.
A team of 5 qualified carpenters and cabinetmakers currently work at ébénisterie-schmied Sàrl.

Our history:

After completing their apprenticeship as cabinetmakers, Pierre and Jacques Schmied decided to found a cabinetmaking business in 1936. They worked together until 1962, when Jacques Schmied decided to become an antique dealer. Pierre Schmied remained master of the cabinetmaking business until 1985. He then handed over the running of the company to his son, Philippe Schmied, who managed it until 2015. Today, he remains a consultant to ébénisterie-schmied Sàrl to ease the transition.
